Counselor's Corner - Middle
Hello MLA Families,

I am Daniel A. Zepeda, and I am honored to be the School Counselor at MLA Middle. My primary goal is to promote mental health and well-being while contributing to a positive culture within the MLA community.
Over the past 13 years, I have worked with children in various roles such as a Site Director for Before and After School Programs, Instructor Assistant, Behavior Technician, and most recently as a residential counselor for Juvenile youth. I have a Master's Degree in Arts in School Counseling and am committed to meeting students and families.
As students enter middle school, it is critical for them to develop their individuality and learn how to navigate their emotions. At MLA, we are dedicated to creating a safe space where students can learn healthy coping skills and the importance of mental health awareness while pursuing their education. My goal is to ensure that students develop a value of self-care and understand the significance of protecting their mental health while preparing them for their next step in education. Regardless of whether it is a quiet battle, I am here to support all students and help them through their challenges.
I am here to assist you and your family in any way I can as your Student Services Specialist. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any conversation to help your student(s) with whatever they may be going through. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to meeting you all.
