MLA Middle School Dean's Message
I have been an educator for almost ten years. During that time, I have taught in South Korea, Alaska, and Oregon in all three levels of elementary, middle, and high schools. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education to continue my growth as a lifelong learner to better serve students, staff, and families.
Middle school is an exciting time for students to learn and grow. MLA is committed to creating an environment where students from all backgrounds feel safe to explore, learn, and grow. As middle schoolers enter adolescence, we want to create an environment where students can thrive socially, academically, and emotionally.
My top priority is to ensure that students feel safe and protected in school. My other commitment is to create equitable practices for students, because like the MLA motto states “Education for All.” I look forward to partnering with staff, students, families, and the community to make this statement true. Let’s all come together to create safe spaces to educate and support the whole child.
