Counselor's Corner - Middle
My name is Sara Pekny. I am the new school counselor here at MLA Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year! I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas. I went to the University of North Texas for a degree in Social Sciences with a focus on psychology. After graduating, I worked for a Spanish immersion preschool.
I recently graduated from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education for my Master's degree in school counseling. As someone who suffered from racial microaggressions from an early age, I am very passionate about helping marginalized populations in the Portland area. I am happy to provide resources for those in need.
